Digital and mixed media artist JJ Adams has created an impressive portfolio of works which take people and landmarks which all recognise and he adds his own twist!
Having been featured in Vogue and GQ, JJ Adams rapidly became one of the UK's most talked about and collectable artists.
He has transformed celebrity images and photographs, as well as iconic landmarks and has single-handedly blurred the lines separating fine art, and the new medias of digital art & photography.
JJ is the rebellious son of a baptist preacher. Having moved from Plymouth as a child, out to South Africa in the early eighties. JJ spent much of his youth in the studio of Derric Van Rensburg, a contemporary artist in Cape Town and to whom JJ has credited with helping him discover his love of graphic art.
Adams chose the subject to study at Cape College while working part-time as an apprentice at a busy tattoo studio. When JJ eventually returned to the UK in the 1990's it was with a desire to become a tattoo artist and time has seem him merge these two passions into the personality and artist he is today.
