Artist Matt Buckley - EDGE Miniatures:-

Edge Sculpture is well recognised and offers a wide range of contemporary statement pieces for your home, many of which are large scale and designed to make a statement. 

Matt Buckley is the sculptor and as he conceived and sculpted the collection it was always his intention to create pieces that have a bold and visually striking appearance.

Experimentation has always been at the heart of his work and Matt has often considered how he could present his work on a smaller scale.

It wasn't just about sculpting smaller pieces but it was more about how he could turn a very large piece into a flawless miniaturised version of the original. The intention being to not only manufacture the miniature using the identical marble based stone casting material but also to paint the piece in the same way, ensuring as pure a miniature as possible. 

Modern technological advances have most certainly aided his new adventure but Matt has found himself having to make many small adjustments within each piece to not only make them actually possible but also to retain a virtual identical likeness to the larger version.

The EDGE Miniatures Collection was launched in mid-2024 with the introduction of six classic Edge Miniatures Sculptures.

Matt does consider this to be the beginning and is looking forward to explanding the series with other pieces that he he feels would work well with this technique.

All Edge Miniatures are beautifully presented in a matt black lidded gift box adorned with a silver foil logo, making them the perfect gift.
