Andrew Kinsman Artist At The Acorn Gallery, PocklingtonAndrew Kinsman - Original Paintings and Limited Edition Prints:-

Artist and musician Andrew Kinsman sold his first piece of artwork at the age of 12 and in the intervening years has not only painted commissions for celebrities and royalty but has also performed with English Rock Band Kasabian and recorded soundtracks and albums with Noel Gallagher. What an incredible CV!

Andrew says the “best ever” gift was a set of oil paints when I was 11 years old. “That’s still the most exciting thing  I’ve ever been given.  I painted a life study of my mother – it was terrible…!”

Perhaps that’s why Andrew initially turned to a successful music career – touring with Kasabian and recording with Noel Gallagher. However, he just couldn’t suppress his incredible artistic talent and international recognition followed, culminating in a commission by the Royal Mail to paint a series of stamps commemorating 150 years of League football featuring Sir Bobby Moore, George Best and Dennis Law.

After years living in London, Cambridge, Bristol and Cyprus Andrew now lives in Italy. He continues to practice both art forms passionately, dedicating his time equally to advancing his musical career and acquiring reputable art commissions. The trait Andrew finds most captivating - and which still influences his painting to this day - is the ability to create a snapshot of real life... to create, in painting, the surroundings, emotions and thoughts present in a single moment.

Andrew has definitely mastered the art of creating a 'moment in time' and The Acorn Gallery is delighted to represent this amazing and versatile artist.
