Heather Howe - Original Paintings and Limited Edition Prints:-Heather Howe Artist At The Acorn Gallery, Pocklington

Artist Heather Howe spent her childhood years in the beautiful county of Cornwall and although she has lived in many beautiful parts of the UK, she returned to her childhood home at the turn of the century, now residing on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall.

Heather's paintings are inspired by the emotions of a scene... dappled sunlight, stormy skies or bright moonlight are the kinds of trigger which help her to instinctively settle on a view for her painting.

Heather's fine art training has given her an illustrious career as a full-time painter and illustrator for over 25 years. Her skill with a palette knife creates the most beautiful landscapes, usually incorporating a walk or path which entices the viewer into the scene before them.

Although Heather has painted successfully in watercolours she has worked almost exclusively in oils for several years enjoying the 'happy accidents' that happen as the colours join together on the canvas. Her joy is greatest when a painting takes on a life of its own. She feels this is essential to give each piece its own vibe and to keep the paintings fresh and individual.

Heather Howe’s beautiful limited edition canvas prints are beautifully framed in white and add a vibrant burst of colour to any room. They are especially well suited to bedrooms and garden rooms.
