West Yorkshire Artist Joe Galindo was lucky enough to spend his early twenties travelling across Asia and Australia.

These huge journeys gave him a unique inspiration taken from some of the most inhospitable jungles to some of the world’s most incredible coastlines! 

Joe’s painterly style has developed in an almost ad hoc fashion, using random objects to apply the paint including spoons, nails and even pieces of rubber. This unorthodox method allows great texture creating a very fluid style, elevated by the painter’s own movement whilst holding his paint laden object of choice.  

On his travels Galindo met many artists, all creating their own work in their own unique way and this gave him the courage to strike out and make his own statement pieces the way he felt he wanted to. 

Joe’s art journey began properly in 2022 when he returned home and started to explore the feelings of creativity he had been nurturing. The freedom and energy with which he paints is something he is very proud of and he hopes it will uplift and inspire others. 

The animals chosen are each painted with the intention of sharing the artists own sentiment, something very personal, with the viewer. This is enhanced by the solid colour background, making the eyes even more appealing and creating a true connection.
