Collection: Shanna Stirling NEW

Shanna Stirling - Limited Edition Prints:-

Shanna Stirling is a self-taught artist living in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside. She developed a love of drawing from an early age and has tried various mediums until she found digital art and fell in love.
It is her own fascination with light and shade, vibrant colours and a keen attention to detail which she believes has led her to move towards a more traditional style but still working within the digital medium.

Shanna has taken inspiration from a range of artists including the works of Edward Hopper and also contemporary artist Bruce Cohen For his love of colour and detail. Working with digital media allows many options, but Shanna still prefers to paint using one brushstroke at a time, building up layers just as she would with paint on canvas, in order to achieve depth to her images.

Other inspiration comes from the beautiful North Yorkshire fishing villages which Shanna loved to visit whilst living in the Yorkshire Dales, but she has also lived in London for a big part of her life, therefore it is no surprise to find some of the city's iconic architecture appearing in her paintings as well.

Today Shanna works from a home-studio, often accompanied by her studio assistant Finley the poodle. When she’s not painting, her biggest joys are working in her garden or taking long walks over the fields with her husband and of course, Finley.
