Stuart McAlpine Miller is an artist with a number of successful international exhibitions under his belt, and a new body of Harry Potter inspired art and a castle for a home.
From artist-in-residence at The Savoy Hotel in London, McAlpine Miller has never allowed himself to slow down in his creative prowess, continuously attracting the attention of art galleries and collectors, he’s no stranger to the headlines and regularly exhibits at prestigious galleries around the world.
Stuart McAlpine Miller works in a Pop Art style. Stuart’s artistic process begins with him painting on canvas with oils, sharpening the lines and illusions of transparency before photographing the works, scanning them and digitally manipulating them to use as a remastered base to work onto for the final kaleidoscopic layer.
His work draws inspiration from the distortion of portraits, layering text and symbols, creating abstract imagery, delivering a narrative as compelling as that which inspired the art. He is influenced by his admiration of old masters such as Caravaggio, Durer, Hieronymous Bosch as well as Andy Warhol, a leading founder of the Pop Art Movement.
