We are delighted to welcome Paul McIntyre to The Acorn Gallery, Pocklington, bringing with him a wonderful collection of vibrant, atmospheric cityscapes that capture the energy and excitement of urban life.

Based in Bristol, Paul is an established British artist whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and internationally. His distinctive style combines confident brushwork, expressive colour and a wonderful eye for detail, transforming familiar streets and iconic landmarks into captivating works of art.

From the bustling streets of London to the unmistakable architecture of New York, Paul's paintings are about so much more than buildings. He captures the movement, atmosphere and everyday moments that give a city its personality. Traffic, pedestrians, changing light and architectural detail all play their part in bringing his compositions to life.

Having studied art at Henley College, Paul developed a particular enthusiasm for acrylic painting. His artistic approach combines skilled observation with creative freedom, allowing him to balance recognisable scenes with a lively, contemporary interpretation.

Always looking for inspiration, Paul frequently carries a sketchbook when travelling, recording the sights, impressions and ideas that eventually find their way into his paintings.
