Stuart Storey - often going by 'StuART' - is a British artist whose canvases pulse with energy, bright colour and a palpable sense of movement. Based in Hampton Hill, southwest London, he draws much of his inspiration from the great outdoors: the rolling hills, the riverbanks, and especially the cycling routes he rides regularly.

Originally trained as a mechanical engineer and having spent decades in the consumer goods industry (including a stint as a CEO), he underwent a midlife renewal in 2020 and redirected his creative energies toward painting, coaching, and even guiding cyclists.

His style, which he calls “Vibrant Realism with an Edge,” thrives on bold lines, exaggerated perspectives and expressive colour palettes - every piece feels like it's moving, as if caught mid-ride.

As a cyclist-artist, Storey uniquely blends his two passions. His “BikeART” range features depictions of iconic climbs, pacelines, even sculptures built from recycled bicycle parts, while a portion of his proceeds is donated to causes connected to the cycling community - he is, in fact, the official artist of the Fred Whitton Challenge.

But he doesn’t confine himself to wheels: his “Vibrant Views” and “Rowing ART” collections celebrate landscapes, rivers and the sweeping movements of rowing craft.

His mission seems simple: to put a smile on the viewer’s face - and if the image inspires someone to hop on a bike and explore, then it’s done its job.
