The definition of the word 'intrigued' is "arouse the curiosity or interest of; fascinate".  

This image doubly defines that explanation because we are not only curious about the book title, but also the reader is definitely fascinated by its content.  Is the book called 'Bird in a Cage' by Frederic Dard, the title of which is clearly seen in Kinsman's accompanying piece entitled "Enthralled"?   It's all very intriguing...
