ANDY SAYS:-

We use almost a litre of resin in each egg or bowl and add either native or exotic hardwoods and a variety of different resin effects in the recipe for each piece. The key colour of each piece is then coloured with either mica, alcohol inks or resin dye. 

We then mount the piece on a block and use the lathe to create the shape then the sanding process and finally the polishing process is done. We sand from 120 grit in stages up to 1000 grit and then use three progressively finer polishing compounds and then a final finish is on a buffing wheel.
