Allan Morgan is a highly regarded British landscape artist known for his captivating depictions of natural scenes. Born in 1952, Morgan studied Fine Art at Swansea and Coventry Art Colleges, which laid the foundation for his artistic career. Early in his professional life, he worked as an illustrator for major British publishing companies, but his passion for landscape painting soon took over, and he transitioned to a full-time artist. His works are heavily influenced by his love for light, colour, and the natural atmosphere of the British countryside.

Morgan's landscapes often feature a balance between realism and a more "colourist" approach, with his later works embracing vivid and expressive use of colour.

Having spent time living near the coast, he regularly returns to coastal and rural themes in his paintings, finding inspiration in the sweeping skies and rolling hills of the Welsh countryside and other locations like the Gower Peninsula. His attention to detail and keen sense of atmosphere make his paintings both tranquil and evocative.

Over the years, Morgan's style has evolved, but his commitment to capturing the beauty of nature remains constant. His compositions often emphasise the interplay between light and the landscape, creating dynamic and atmospheric pieces that resonate with collectors. His works are sought after across the UK and Europe, with exhibitions in prominent galleries adding to his growing reputation.

Now based in the border region of Herefordshire and Powys, Allan Morgan continues to draw from his surroundings, producing artwork that speaks to the serenity and grandeur of the natural world. His landscape paintings not only capture the physical beauty of the scenes but also evoke an emotional response.
