Lorraine Kathryn Studios is the creative partnership of sculptor Lorraine and designer Elaine, who create distinctive handcrafted ceramic sculptures from their North Yorkshire coastal studio.

Before turning her talents to sculpture, Lorraine spent many years creating extraordinary celebration cakes. Customers would marvel at the intricate detail and craftsmanship of her creations, but as Lorraine often jokes, "people would appreciate them for thirty seconds and then cut them into pieces!" Wanting to create something lasting, she channelled her artistic skills into sculpture, where her work could be enjoyed for years rather than moments.

Inspired by the natural world, Lorraine and Elaine produce a captivating collection of ceramic birds, fish, animals and organic forms. Their work is renowned for its intricate pierced and filigree detailing, with many pieces designed to be illuminated, creating beautiful patterns of light and shadow.

Every sculpture is individually handmade, combining Lorraine's sculptural expertise with Elaine's creative design influence. The result is a unique collection of contemporary ceramics that celebrates craftsmanship, imagination and the beauty of nature.
