“A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.”
A beautifully tender interpretation of three of the most beloved characters from The Wizard of Oz, Kerry Darlington brings together the Scarecrow, Tin-Man and Cowardly Lion in her unmistakably enchanting style.
Each character carries the very thing they believe themselves to be missing. The Tin-Man gently cradles a vivid red heart, the Scarecrow watches over his companions with quiet affection, while the Cowardly Lion nestles alongside them — a reminder that perhaps brains, heart and courage were there all along.
Kerry's delicate drawing and softly muted palette give the piece a wonderfully nostalgic, storybook quality. Against the subtle sepia tones, the Tin-Man’s brilliant red heart becomes an irresistible focal point, while exquisite detailing throughout the figures, foliage and Lion’s flowing mane invites you to look closer.
Each edition comes embellished with silver leaf, adding delicate flashes of light and a luxurious finishing touch.
Warm, whimsical and filled with meaning, The Scarecrow, The Tin-Man and The Cowardly Lion is a beautiful celebration of friendship, loyalty and discovering that sometimes everything we are searching for is already within us.
