Bursting with colour, texture and joyful energy, Sun In My Heart by Yulia Lisle is a wonderfully expressive celebration of the sunflower.
Generous sweeps of rich, impasto paint give the flowers an almost sculptural quality, with thick strokes of golden yellow, fiery orange and deep green bringing every petal and leaf to life. Some blooms stand proudly towards the light while others bow and twist on their stems, creating a beautiful sense of movement throughout the composition.
Behind them, soft layers of lilac, violet, blue and muted pastel tones provide a wonderfully atmospheric backdrop, allowing the vibrant sunflowers to shine.
There is something gloriously untamed about Sun In My Heart. Rather than presenting a perfect vase of flowers, Yulia captures their character — bold, slightly wild and full of life. An uplifting original painting filled with warmth, colour and glorious texture.
