Some friendships begin with a handshake. Others begin with a curious little duck!

There's something absolutely delightful about Say Hello To My Little Friend by Keith Proctor, a wonderfully playful painting that captures the innocence, curiosity and unexpected friendships of childhood.

A young boy bends down to investigate a rather charming white duck, and the two seem to be sizing each other up with equal curiosity!

Dressed in a simple white vest, khaki shorts, oversized boots and his trusty flat cap, our little adventurer appears completely fascinated by his feathered companion. And the duck? Well, standing confidently on its bright orange feet, it looks perfectly happy to make a new friend!

It's one of those wonderfully simple moments that Keith captures so beautifully. No grand adventure, no elaborate setting, just a little boy discovering that sometimes the most interesting characters in life are the ones we least expect to meet.

There's a lovely sense of gentle humour in the scene, particularly in the boy's inquisitive posture and the duck's rather matter-of-fact expression. You can almost imagine the conversation taking place between them!

Keith's distinctive expressive brushwork brings warmth and personality to the painting. The beautiful turquoise background gradually blends into rich, grassy greens, creating a fresh, uplifting atmosphere that allows the two little characters to take centre stage.

Presented as a hand embellished canvas board, Say Hello To My Little Friend has an added richness of texture that perfectly complements Keith's wonderfully nostalgic painting style.

Full of charm, humour and childhood innocence, this delightful artwork would make a lovely addition to a family home or a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves animals, countryside life or simply appreciates a painting that makes them smile.

Say Hello To My Little Friend by Keith Proctor is a heartwarming reminder that friendship can be found in the most unexpected places!
