A glorious explosion of colour and texture, Rainbow In My Garden Original by Yulia Lisle captures the joyful abundance of a garden in full bloom.
Yulia works with wonderfully generous layers of paint, building the surface into a richly textured landscape of vivid orange, scarlet, lime green, turquoise and deep blue. Among the energetic marks, suggestions of flowers and foliage appear and disappear, inviting you to look closer and discover something new each time.
Against the brighter, almost luminous background, the intense colours seem to dance across the canvas. There is a wonderful spontaneity to the piece — less a literal view of a garden and more the feeling of standing amongst flowers, surrounded by colour, movement and light.
Bold, uplifting and wonderfully tactile, Rainbow In My Garden is an original painting bursting with energy, happiness and Yulia Lisle’s unmistakable love of colour.
