Oasis played their first gig on the 14th August 1991 at The Boardwalk Club in Manchester - and the rest as they say, is history! Celebrate Oasis, the band, the brothers, and of course the music with this fantastic original painting by Sandra Wadkin created in her highly unusual painting technique - a guaranteed talking point for your visitors - after the subject of the painting of course! 

SANDRA SAYS:

I do not use photoshop to create my pieces like some of a similar style do. I use a ruler and hi contrast to find the darkest darks and lightest lights. 

The idea came from a charity shop book published in 1980 before Photoshop existed and it showed making images with lines and dots to make up newspaper images .

Roy Lichtenstein had already done dots so I thought I’d try lines and the resulting fractured series is the work of five years perfecting my technique.
