Who needs stabilisers when you've got determination, a sense of adventure and absolutely no fear?

There's something wonderfully mischievous about Mission Impossible by Keith Proctor, a delightful painting that captures one of those unforgettable childhood moments when ambition is just a little bigger than ability!

A young adventurer is tackling the challenge of riding a bicycle, legs stretched out to either side, feet nowhere near the pedals and a magnificent mop of windswept hair adding to the excitement.

Dressed in a cosy jumper, shorts and sturdy boots, this determined little character is heading straight towards a puddle-covered path. Whether it's a daring attempt to master two wheels or simply a wonderfully unconventional way to travel, one thing is certain – this is an adventure in the making!

Keith's beautifully expressive brushwork brings a wonderful sense of movement and energy to the scene. Soft, muted tones of cream, grey and earthy green create an atmospheric countryside setting, while the distant buildings and wonderfully textured ground add depth and character.

And then there's that bicycle! With its little rider perched precariously on the saddle, it's impossible not to smile and remember those early cycling adventures when balance was optional, confidence was everything and a few bumps and scrapes were simply part of growing up.

Presented as a hand embellished canvas board, Mission Impossible has an added richness of texture that perfectly complements Keith's distinctive nostalgic style.

Full of humour, charm and childhood innocence, this delightful artwork would make a wonderful gift for a cycling enthusiast, a proud parent or anyone who remembers the thrill of learning to ride a bike.

Mission Impossible by Keith Proctor is a lovely reminder that every great adventure begins with a little courage – and sometimes a rather wobbly start!
