Atmospheric, imaginative and wonderfully intriguing, I’ll Stay Till The Wind Changes is a striking Limited Edition Print by Michelle Mackie.

Standing high upon a rocky peak, a lone figure waits beneath her umbrella, silhouetted against an impossibly vast full moon. With her blue dress caught by the breeze and a Union Jack suitcase in hand, she appears ready for an adventure — but not quite yet. A tiny butterfly flutters alongside her, adding another touch of magic to this wonderfully surreal scene.

The title gives the image its story. Is she waiting for the wind to carry her somewhere new, or simply enjoying the extraordinary place in which she finds herself? As with so much of Michelle Mackie’s work, the answer is left to the imagination.

Dreamlike and cinematic, with a hint of fantasy and nostalgia, I’ll Stay Till The Wind Changes is a captivating piece for anyone who loves art that invites you to create a story of your own.
