Echo Of Boleo Atras Bronze Sculpture by Andrei Protsouk

We are excited to unveil Andrei Protsouk's inaugural sculpture, Echo of the Boléo Atrás.

 

This sculpture captures the fleeting, elegant moment of a dancer’s Boléo Atrás. A backward flick of the leg suspended in time. The figure, elegantly poised, twists at the waist with her chest lifted and grounded in her partner’s invisible lead. Her free leg arcs behind her in a graceful yet powerful sweep, the motion frozen mid-whip like a ribbon caught in the wind.

Muscle and motion are immortalised in bronze emphasising the tension between balance and release. Her skirt flares slightly, hinting at the speed of the movement just before it paused. This sculpture celebrates the passion, precision, and sensual dialogue of the tango dance, where even a flick of the leg tells a story of connection and control.
