Quiet, romantic and filled with atmosphere, A Pocket Full of Moonlight by Danny Abrahams captures the magic of being together beneath a beautiful night sky.

Danny’s familiar couple wander arm in arm along a secluded country path, surrounded by a landscape washed in rich blues, violets and soft moonlight. Ahead, the warm glow from the windows of a little cottage provides a welcoming contrast to the cool night, while high above them a brilliant moon shines through the clouds and a scattering of stars.

There is a lovely sense of storytelling within the painting. Where are they going? Is the cottage home? Or are they simply enjoying a walk together beneath the stars? As with so much of Danny’s work, the story is left for you to imagine.

A Pocket Full of Moonlight is wonderfully peaceful and intimate — a painting about companionship, shared moments and finding a little magic in the everyday.

The Acorn Gallery, Pocklington is proud to be Danny Abrahams’ longest-serving gallery, having represented his work for many years and watched his distinctive style and remarkable career develop along the way.
