Collection: Mike Jackson 1962-2026

Artist: Mike Jackson - Original Paintings and Limited Edition Prints:-

Mike Jackson was born in 1962 to a working class Manchester family. He grew up in a warm family surrounded with honest values and left school with few qualifications but with a great love of art. Mike was always encouraged to learn a trade so 'he would always have something to fall back on' so, Mike became a Butcher.

After a wide and varied career path he eventually pursued the artistic path and became a Graphic Designer, totally self-taught and using all the skills that God gave him. He followed opportunites wherever he found them, eventually finding his way into the world of commercial art, where he stayed for about 12 years. 

In the interim, he was developing his illustration skills and learning to work with different mediums until he felt he was good enough to sell some of his paintings. It was now that he realised his true vocation, for his paintings are filled with the love and joy he felt whilst creating them and this somehow gives back as we view then even now.

His favourite of all the options, was watercolour and this always remained his first choice.

Mike sadly passed away in April 2026, leaving behind a loving family and a massive hole in the art world. We will miss him hugely.
