This piece was inspired by a vintage magazine picture I came across, it was a cool 40s-50s black and white photo of a glamorous lady in a luxury car in the Place du Trocadero in Paris which was somewhere I visited for the first time earlier this year. Seventy years later this same square is one of the most instagrammable places in Paris, due to it’s amazing view of the Eiffel Tower.

This made me think, as climate change increases the habitat of birds and animals will change even further, who’s to say Paris won’t be the home to Rock hopper penguins in the future. Penguins are extremely inquisitive animals, I’m convinced they’d like nothing better than a tour of Paris and what better way to capture them for Instagram on their tour, than on a Citroen 2CV.
