The Taj Mahal is an incredible, white marble mausoleum built in Agra, India between 1632-1648. It was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Jahan who died in childbirth.
Edward was inspired by the building during a visit to India and this stunning original painting is surely one which stands proud in his memory of this universally celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Edward is always happy to consider a commission so if you have a favourite place that you'd like to see him paint then ask us for details.
