Boots on the Ground is one of those media buzz-phrases that gets trotted out when talking about military incursions. Reporters and politicians seem to have their own association with this term, but for me it conjures up a different response. The marionette, the damaged soul (the egg is a symbol of the soul), and the extinct species (thylacine) seems to fit the circus of craziness.
