Susan Leigh has always known that art is something that makes her happy and that if she could build art into her life then she would be very satisfied with her journey through it. Art college was therefore a definite stop on her timeline and it helped her to decide that textile design was something she very much enjoyed.
The French Impressionists gave her huge inspiration and her love of their work helped her explore new boundaries and lead to a successful career with a leading UK home furnishing design company. Her designs were picked up by leading High Street department stores including John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Habitat and BHS.
Susan decided that interior design needed to be a bigger part of her life and so she studied this whilst at the same time pursuing her love of painting.
Having made a decision to leave the high pressure High Street, Susan has found new appreciation for her work through selected U.K. galleries who sell her original paintings and limited edition prints. Susan's quirky characters inspired by the wild, the farmyard and the pets in our homes, have given her a growing audience across the U.K.
