Born in Norfolk Lorraine was natured and nurtured in rural surroundings before moving to London for her University education and a career in Dance and Aerial Circus Arts. In 2000 some time spent in Africa profoundly moved her towards an interest in conservation and ecology, which expressed her new-found passion and honed her drawing skills for the next few years via detailed graphite drawings of wildlife.
Between 2005 and 2015 Lorraine painted only commissions as her performing career took off (quite literally in the form of wing walking and aerial wire dancing!)
Lorraine felt that this period helped her to grow and develop her artistic voice into what it is now. Lorraine's paintings have developed into colourful mindscapes that retain the primal influence of nature and natural forces at their core. She continues to express her passion for the environment from both a physical and metaphysical standpoint by exploring our place within the vast tapestry of life and by hopefully bringing awareness to its wonders.
